Oyster Omlette at Samin Market

It’s too delicious and sold out even before it gets dark🤪

Oyster omelette is a unique traditional delicacy in Taiwan. In other countries, you will have to find a Taiwanese restaurant to have the opportunity to try it (and that’s a maybe). But in Taiwan, it is a common street food that every market would have at least a stall of Oyster Omelette. Oyster omelette is pan fried with oysters, eggs, veggie, batter, and topped with sweet and spicy sauce. The overall texture is smooth and chewy, while a little crispy on the edges. You will taste the aroma of fried oil and seafood, which is accompanied by the freshness of veggie.

This oyster omelette stall is right across from A-Wan Noodle Shop in the Sanmin Market. It is a stall facing the Sanmin Street, but there are also tables for dine-in. Oyster omelette is their signature dish. There are also shrimp omelette, squid omelette, and combination omelette. If you want to try out these three, I would recommend to go there early before they are sold out!
