About Sogood Bridge and What’s Happening Here

Where Did We Start?

Takao Sogood Bridge was named by combining soin social design, and goodin design for good, with Takao representing the historical name of Kaohsiung. The inclusion of bridge was originally for a silly feng-shui belief, which turns out to symbolize our aspiration for “bridging social goodness“.

Our studio is situated in a mid-century building constructed in 1967. Originally owned by the city government and serving as a family housing for government officials back in the days. After sold to the public later and being abandoned for about a decade, in 2020, the third owner registered the studio with this location and began the restoration project in 2021, with partial funding from the Ministry of Culture in Taiwan.

This three-floor mid-century house is oriented with the concept of co-create and co-care, and is taken care of by everyone that occupies the space. We are neighboring to the bustling Sanmin Market and the peaceful Happiness Canal. The area is steeped in cultural significance, offering a harmonious blend of historical and modern elements. Here, anything is possible. We dream big about bringing the world to Kaohsiung, and brining Kaohsiung to the world!
